You are Welcome to join The Ohio Valley Regional Dorper Association If you raise Dorpers, use Dorpers as a terminal sire, or are just interested in Dorpers We started the organization with three goals in mind. 1. Promote and educate the public about the Dorper breed. 2. Establish a Commercial Breeding Stock Sale to enable others to get their start with Dorpers. 3. Promote and establish a market for Dorper and Dorper cross lamb and create a steady supply through our growing OVRDA membership. We have members from Kentucky and Indiana to New York and Virginia and most States in between. With our growing membership we are able to supply breeding stock or market lambs to a large portion of the United States. Our members network together in our constant effort to improve the Dorper breed in areas of parasite resistance or resilience, and shedding ability. The Dorper Breed is a very Intelligent and Easy Care breed that produces Dorper Rams that are very prolific, Dorper Ewes that are Great Mothers, and Dorper Lambs that are well muscled and have a good growth rate. Because of these qualities the Dorper breed is truly the salvation of the sheep industry.
